Absorb Training now offers combined land and marine spill response training. Our popular Nationally Recognised Spill Response Training course combines both theory and practical elements in a half day course. This has now been extended to include basic marine spill training in a practical, on-water exercise where participants get to practice being the skipper in a simulated oil spill on water.

Absorb's Managing Director – Phil Abernethy delivered this course in Darwin Harbor for a major project. The exciting part of the course was the on-water training which had the added issue of crocodiles. These unpredictable animals add an interesting twist to recovery of an oil spill, hence “Snapping Handbags”.

If you want to add marine element to your NRT Environmental Spill Response Training please give us a call. We also provide IMO1 and IMO2 training for the complicated marine spill scenarios
