Your Compliance Checklist

What should you be doing now to make sure you are Environmentally Compliant?

Walk around your site and do an impromptu audit - are there any new risks that have been introduced during the year that your haven’t included in your aspect risk register?

If you have responsibility for your site’s environmental performance, the best approach is to complete a comprehensive course that provides you with practical environmental skills and management, Environmental Legislation, and Environmental Duty of Care.

Our Certificate IV in On-Site Environmental Management will equip you with the skills to manage the environmental impacts of your site so you can correctly complete a full environmental audit including evaluating your spill response capabilities as mentioned above.

Check and restock your spill kits and spill response products. If finding the time to complete regular checks is proving to be difficult, why not take the hassle out by having an Absorb Spill Kit Service Program in place.

To prevent emergency use stocks being used for regular maintenance, consider designating emergency use only kits with covers and tamper evident seals and provide separate absorbents for regular maintenance work.

Schedule spill response courses for all staff. Similar to fire extinguisher training, look at this as a refresher for existing employees so they are well prepared, and correct procedures become second nature.

By regular scheduling you can also induct any new employees in basic legislation, step by step spill response procedures, and practical training in spill kit use.
We know that environmental incidents on your site are uncommon, and this is why

Absorb provides training for your staff to practice for these rare events so they can be handled safely and quickly!
